Dr. Rabalais is an experienced dental practitioner. In 1966 he graduated from Northeast Louisiana State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University in 1970.Dr. Rabalais then served two years in the U.S. Army as a dental officer. While in the military he completed a mini-residency in periodontics which began his interest in that specialty. Following military service he practiced general dentistry for six years. In 1978 he entered the LSU School of Dentistry for post-graduate studies in Periodontics. He received his Certificate in Periodontics in 1980.For his research while a graduate student he was presented an award for Research Excellence by the American Association for Dental Research. Dr. Rabalais frequently attends continuing education courses to remain informed of the newest methods and techniques of periodontal treatment.He is an active member of both the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association. He is also a member of The Bayou District Dental Association.
